Cindy Kermott, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.P.M., is a consultant in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Kermott brings expertise in internal medicine, preventive medicine, public health and epidemiology to provide comprehensive, individualized health assessments for patients across the nation. Her clinical focus is on identifying and prioritizing each patient's most meaningful health risks and opportunities for prevention, early detection, and long-term well-being.

She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and served previously as the medical director for the Preventive Services Clinic. Her research interests include cardiovascular disease prevention, screening efficacy, stress and resilience, lifestyle interventions, and optimizing screening and diagnostic test utilization. She is a co-author and editor of several Mayo Clinic health resources, including Mayo Clinic Guide to Self-Care and Mayo Clinic Book of Home Remedies. Outside of medicine, Dr. Kermott values her deep faith, time with her family, and a strong connection with the natural world.
