Biographical summary
Mario Hevesi, M.D., Ph.D., is focused on optimizing patient-centered treatments and outcomes to allow people of all ages and activity levels to return to what brings them joy — from everyday activities to elite-level sports. His practice revolves around comprehensive hip care, including preservation (arthroscopic labral repair, periacetabular osteotomy) and minimally invasive direct anterior total hip arthroplasty. He is a founding member of the Mayo Clinic Young Hip Clinic. He also has expertise in knee surgery, with a particular focus on patellofemoral instability. He serves as Research Chair for the Division of Sports Medicine, with a mission to provide patients with modern solutions to modern challenges, while ensuring that treatments are well-supported through evidence-based medicine and tailored, individualized treatment plans.
