Dr. Jacob Eleazer (he/him) is a licensed psychologist and clinical director for the Transgender and Intersex Specialty Care Clinic (TISCC) at Mayo Clinic Florida. Dr. Eleazer completed his doctorate in counseling psychology at the University of Louisville and a policy research fellowship with the Palm Center's Transgender Military Service Initiative. His dissertation investigating the experiences of transgender service members received awards from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and the American Psychological Association's Society for the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity. He completed postdoctoral fellowship in LGBTQ+ health and psychosocial rehabilitation as well as an advanced fellowship in health services research and development at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System (VACHS) and Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Eleazer is certified by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health's Global Education Initiative. As an out transgender and queer man, Dr. Eleazer is committed to providing affirming care for transgender, nonbinary, and intersex patients in North Florida by centering patients' goals and applying principles of patient autonomy, community empowerment, anti-racism, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care.
