Biographical summary
Dr. Block is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist, Associate Professor, and Senior Associate Consultant within the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo Clinic Florida. Her clinical and
research specializations include the neuropsychology of epilepsy, brain tumors, and other complex medical conditions. Dr. Block also has a passion for neuropsychology education/training, mentorship, and professional development. She serves as Associate Director of the Mayo Clinic Florida's Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. She is the editor of The Neuropsychologists Roadmap: A Training and Career Guide (APA Press, 2021) and co-author of its companion The Neuropsychologist's Workbook, as well as co-editor of Medical Neuropsychology and Behavioral Health (Guilford). She has been a contributor to the development of neuropsychology specialty training and education guidelines including the CRSPPP taxonomy (2018) and Minnesota Update Conference (2022). She serves as Co-Director for New2Neuropsychology, and is a co-founder and former board member of KnowNeuropsychology. Dr. Block has also worked within multiple national and international neuropsychology organizations. In recognition of her service and mentorship efforts, Dr. Block has been named a recipient of numerous awards from the Society for Clinical Neuropsychology, National Academy of Neuropsychology, and American Psychological Association.
