   This study is being done to gather information regarding your health in relation to your composite tissue transplant. We would like to use your medical records (both existing and future) to study the health of patients who will receive or have received a composite tissue transplant. This research would include looking at your demographic information, cause of initial injury, laboratory test results and medical exams relating to your pre and post transplant care, and your mental well-being before and after transplant.

    

4. Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole Graded Administration in Oncology, Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant, and Solid Organ Transplant Patients with a History of Sulfonamide Allergy

   The aim of this study is to study the efficacy and safety of our short and long one-day protocols for TMP-SMX graded administration in hematologic malignancy, hematopoietic stem cell transplant, and solid organ transplant patients.

   The aim of this study is to measure the differences in quality of life and mood of liver transplant recipients in the immediate month post- transplant staying at the Gabriel House of Care staying at a hotel, apartment or rental property. 

7. A Study of Immune Cell Abnormalities Found in Individual Patients who have Type 1 Diabetes and are Waiting for Pancreas or Pancreas/Kidney Transplant Surgery

   The purpose of this study is to measure and characterize specific immune cell abnormalities found in patients who have type 1 diabetes and may or may not be on the waiting list for either a pancreas alone or a pancreas and kidney transplant.

8. A Pilot Study Examining Thiamine Deficiency in Patients Admitted to the Hospital for Liver Transplantation

   The purpose of this study is to report the proportion of thiamine deficiency (as defined by the Mayo Clinic Laboratory reference range) in liver transplant patients.

9. A Study of In Vitro Mapping of Cardiac Tissue Obtained from Patients with Refractory Arrhythmias who Underwent Heart Transplant or Replacement with Mechanical Heart

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to obtain electro-anatomic maps of human myocardium in sinus rhythm and ventricular arrhythmias to identify activation patterns, identify and perform tissue ablation at targeted sites of interest that could play an important trigger for development of arrhythmias, and to perform histologic analysis of the myocardial tissue to identify triggers and/or targets for therapies to terminate ventricular arrhythmias.

10. A Study to Evaluate the Effect of Inspiratory Muscle Training on Physiological Function and Clinical Outcomes Following Lung Transplant

    The purpose of this study is to to mechanistically investigate the effect of specific inspiratory muscle training on respiratory function, exercise capacity, health-related quality-of-life, and short-term clinical outcomes in patients after lung transplant.
