1. Diagnosing Craniosynostosis MR with Facial Recognition Software

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to use photographs of infants, both normal and diagnosed with Craniosynostosis, to train a facial recognition algorithm to identify craniosynostosis before evaluation by a healthcare professional.

2. A Study to Establish a Parkinson’s Disease (PD) Cohort using the Parkinson’s Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI)

   Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz.

   The Parkinson Progression Marker Initiative (PPMI) is a study to assess progression of clinical features, digital outcomes, and imaging, biologic and genetic markers of Parkinson’s disease (PD) progression in study participants with manifest PD, prodromal PD, and healthy controls. The overall goal of PPMI is to identify markers of disease progression for use in clinical trials of therapies to reduce progression of PD disability.

3. PLS Natural History Study

   Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla.

   The purpose of this study is to develop a natural history dataset and biorepository of early Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS) and well-established PLS cases for future clinical trials.

4. Cognitive Advancement and Recovery in VNS-Rehabilitation (CARE)

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to investigate whether VNS therapy leads to any changes in the cognitive functions of individuals who have survived a stroke.

5. A Study of Norfolk Quality of Life-diabetic Neuropathy in Diabetic Lumbosacral Radiculoplexus Neuropathy

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to bridge the existing gap by assessing the reliability and validity of the Norfolk QOL-DN questionnaire for patients with Diabetic Lumbosacral Radiculoplexus Neuropathy (DLRPN).

    

6. A Study to Collect Blood DNA Samples from Patients with Clinically Diagnosed Alzheimers Disease, Lewy Body Disease, and Frontotemporal Degeneration

   The purpose of this study is to collect blood samples for DNA analysis from patients clinically diagnosed with Alzheimers disease, Lewy Body disease, and Frontotemporal degeneration.

7. A Study Of Sonodynamic Therapy With SONALA-001 And Exablate 4000 Type 2.0 In Subjects With Progressive Or Recurrent Glioblastoma Multiforme (RGBM)

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to characterize the safety, dose limiting toxicities (DLTs), maximum tolerated dose (MTD), maximum administered dose (MAD) and recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) for future study after treatment with SONALA-001 in combination with MRgFUS in subjects with progressive or rGBM.

8. Primary Tumor Research And Outcome Network (PTRON) Registry

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this registry is to collect clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic data specific for primary spinal column tumor patients, and evaluate it to understand the predictive factors which influence survival, local recurrence, adverse events, perioperative morbidity, and health related quality of life.

9. Droxidopa / Pyridostigmine In Orthostatic Hypotension

   Rochester, Minn.

   The hypothesis is that pyridostigmine will improve the safety factor of ganglionic neural transmission, while Droxidopa will replete the postganglionic neuron of norepinephrine (NE). This combination should result in enhanced orthostatic release of NE. The investigators have already demonstrated that pyridostigmine does not raise supine blood pressure.
