A Study to Assess Reproductive History in Kidney Donors Rochester, Minn., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of parity, menopause and reproductive lifespan on kidney structure and function. A Study to Promote Shared Decision Making of Treatment Choices in Patients who have Advanced Kidney Disease Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla., Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz. The purpose of this study is to develop educational materials that will help patients and clinicians talk about treatment options for patients with advanced kidney disease. Predictive Role of Non-Invasive Glucose Assessment During Pregnancy Rochester, Minn. This study aims to determine the value of regular, non-invasive [glucose] LabClasp monitoring during pregnancy. Tissue and Blood Registry for Individuals with Liver and Biliary Tumors Jacksonville, Fla. This study will collect and store samples of tissue and blood for current and future research studies on Liver and Biliary Tumors. Biospecimens Resource for Glomerular and Tubulo-interstitial Diseases Rochester, Minn. This study is being done to create a "resource" of samples that can be used to improve our ability to diagnose and treat MN, IgAN, MPGN, FSGS/MCD, Lupus Nephritis, AAV, other glomerular tubulo-interstitial disease. A Study to Evaluate the Nrf2 Response in Patients with Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to determine whether patients with ADPKD present with abnormal levels of fumarate that correlates with disease severity and this increase in fumarate results in upregulation of Nrf2 signaling leading to increased cellular proliferation and contributing to cystogenesis. Ultrasound Microvessel Imaging of Transplant Kidney Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to investigate the value of ultrasound microvessel imaging for evaluation of transplant kidney health. A Study to Compare Urinary Exosomes in Healthy Kidney Donors and Renal Transplant Recipients Rochester, Minn. The purpose of this study is to use urinary exosomes to non-invasively identify (protein biomarkers) various conditions affecting the renal transplant. Authorizaton to Use Clincially Obtained Data for Research Rochester, Minn. This study is being done to gather information regarding your health in relation to your composite tissue transplant. We would like to use your medical records (both existing and future) to study the health of patients who will receive or have received a composite tissue transplant. This research would include looking at your demographic information, cause of initial injury, laboratory test results and medical exams relating to your pre and post transplant care, and your mental well-being before and after transplant. Rare Kidney Stone Consortium Patient Registry Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to collect medical information from a large number of patients in many areas of the world with primary hyperoxaluria (PH), Dent disease, Cystinuria and APRT deficiency. This information will create a registry that will help us to compare similarities and differences in patients and their symptoms. The more patients we are able to enter into the registry, the more we will be able to understand the Primary Hyperoxalurias,Dent disease, cystinuria and APRT and learn better ways of caring for patients with these diseases. Post Approval Study for Treatment of Drug-resistant Adult Primary FSGS Using the LIPOSORBER® LA-15 System Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the probable benefit and safety of the LIPOSORBER® LA-15 System for the treatment of adult and pediatric patients with nephrotic syndrome associated with primary focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, when the standard treatment options, including corticosteroid and/or calcineurin inhibitors treatments, have been unsuccessful or not well tolerated, and the patient has a GFR ≥ 45 ml/min/1.73m2, or the patient is post renal transplantation. Treatment for FSGS is considered unsuccessful if the patient is unresponsive to standard therapy (e.g., at least 8 weeks of corticosteroids) and fails to achieve complete or partial remission. A standard treatment is considered not well tolerated if the patient experiences severe side effects without providing an acceptable level of clinical benefit.
