Biographical summary
Jay-Sheree Allen Akambase, M.D., M.P.H., is a preventive medicine physician who helps patients achieve their best health through personalized, evidence-based care. She is committed to disease prevention, health promotion, and supporting long-term wellbeing.
Dr. Akambase earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College and completed both her family medicine residency and preventive medicine fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She also holds an Executive Master of Public Health Practice from the University of Minnesota.
Her research interests include preventive care and population health, occupational mental health, and advancing leadership opportunities for women and underrepresented minorities in medicine. In addition to her clinical work, she shares her expertise through national health media, making medical information clear and accessible to the public.
