Biographical summary
Amar C. Gupta , M.D., is a board-certified abdominal imaging and interventional radiologist in the Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic Arizona. He received his undergraduate and medical education from Case Western Reserve University, completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Cleveland Clinic, and completed fellowships in Interventional Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Abdominal Imaging at Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Gupta is recognized for his expertise in advanced body imaging and cross-sectional interventional procedures. He has presented nationally on topics including advanced prostate MRI techniques and liver tumor ablation and has authored over a dozen peer-reviewed scientific papers. He is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and a member of the Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR), Society of Radiologist in Ultrasound (SRU), and Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).
Dr. Gupta is a dedicated clinician, educator, and researcher. He serves on national committees including the SAR Cross Sectional Interventional Radiology (CSIR) and Early Career Committees. His current areas of research interest include artificial intelligence imaging applications and novel ultrasound guided procedures.
