Elie Naddaf, M.D.

Dr. Elie Naddaf is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He specializes in neuromuscular medicine and muscle pathology. He is a physician scientist active in translational and clinical research. His clinical research centers on inclusion body myositis, other rare immune-mediated neuromuscular disorders, and mitochondrial myopathies. His publications in these areas have emphasized detailed phenotyping, evaluation of long-term and treatment outcomes, and population-based investigations. His translational research focuses on elucidating noninflammatory pathways in inclusion body myositis, with particular emphasis on mitochondrial dysfunction and its interplay with aging and inflammation.
