Felix Knauf, M.D., is a board-certified nephrologist with a long-standing interest in tubulorenal disorders. He is a Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.

Dr. Knauf earned his medical degree from Charité University in Berlin, Germany. He completed his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine, where he subsequently joined the faculty in 2011 and remains an adjunct faculty member. Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, he served as Professor of Internal Medicine and Nephrology and as Division Chief of Nephrology at Charité Campus Mitte in Berlin.

Dr. Knauf research program has been supported by national and international funding agencies for over a decade, focusing on electrolyte and kidney stone disorders and their links to cardiovascular and musculoskeletal disease. His work spans basic, translational, and clinical research, with a strong emphasis on developing new treatment strategies.
