Victor Georges Chedid, M.D., M.S., is a gastroenterologist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, specializing in the care of people living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Dr. Chedid is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and a consultant in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. His research focuses on improving the lives of people IBD, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. As a former Kern Health Care Delivery Scholar and Director of the IBD Pride Clinic at Mayo Clinic, he studies ways to make healthcare more inclusive, accessible, and patient-centered, particularly for LGBTQ+ individuals living with IBD. Through partnerships with patients and communities, his work aims to identify gaps in care, reduce barriers to accessing treatment, strengthen communication between patients and healthcare teams, and improve quality of life. His research has helped advance understanding of the unique experiences and healthcare needs of LGBTQ+ individuals with IBD, laying the foundation for more equitable and affirming models of care. Dr. Chedid has received multiple teaching and humanism awards, reflecting his commitment to education and compassionate care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Chedid enjoys the arts — especially theater, Broadway, and musicals — and supports local theaters in Minnesota.
