Dr. Cochrane is an adult reconstruction surgeon at Mayo Clinic Florida. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated cum laude with a degree in Science Pre-professional studies. He then attended Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Following this, Dr. Cochrane completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center. There, he received multiple awards for clinical excellence, teaching and research. He then completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction at Mayo Clinic Rochester.

Dr. Cochrane is dedicated to advancing the field of hip and knee replacement through research, education and leadership. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and presented his research on the national stage. He has received several grants and research awards, and serves as a peer reviewer for multiple orthopedic journals. He is a current research fellow for the American Joint Replacement Registry, and serves on the Evidence Based Medicine Committee for the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

He is married to his wife Elizabeth and has four children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and watching Notre Dame football.
