Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Acne
  2. anxiety
  3. bleeding gums or nose
  4. bluish lips or skin
  5. chest pain, discomfort, or tightness
  6. chills
  7. clay-colored stools
  8. confusion
  9. constipation
  10. cough
  11. dark urine
  12. decrease in amount of urine
  13. diarrhea
  14. difficulty in speaking
  15. difficulty swallowing
  16. discouragement
  17. dizziness or lightheadedness
  18. double vision
  19. dry mouth
  20. enlargement of penis or testes
  21. eye pain
  22. fast heartbeat
  23. feeling sad or empty
  24. fever
  25. growth of pubic hair
  26. headache
  27. hives, itching, skin rash
  28. inability to move the arms, legs, or facial muscles
  29. inability to speak
  30. increased urination
  31. irritability
  32. lack or slowing of normal growth in children
  33. loss of appetite
  34. loss of interest or pleasure
  35. metallic taste
  36. muscle weakness
  37. nausea
  38. pain, redness, or swelling in the arm or leg
  39. pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back or neck
  40. painful or prolonged erection of the penis
  41. penile pain during erection
  42. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips or tongue
  43. rapid increase in height
  44. ringing in the ears
  45. slow speech
  46. stomach pain
  47. sweating
  48. swelling
  49. swelling of the breasts or breast soreness
  50. swelling of the fingers, hands, feet, or lower legs
  51. thirst
  52. tiredness
  53. trouble breathing
  54. trouble concentrating
  55. trouble sleeping
  56. unpleasant breath odor
  57. unusual tiredness or weakness
  58. vomiting
  59. vomiting of blood
  60. weight gain or loss
  61. yellow eyes or skin

Get emergency help immediately if any of the following symptoms of overdose occur:

Symptoms of overdose

  1. Blurred vision
  2. inability to speak
  3. seizures
  4. severe or sudden headache
  5. slurred speech
  6. temporary blindness
  7. weakness in the arm or leg on one side of the body, sudden and severe

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Incidence not known

  1. Decreased or increased interest in sexual intercourse
  2. inability to have or keep an erection
  3. increased or loss in sexual ability, desire, drive, or performance
  4. pain and swelling at the injection site

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
