Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Agitation
  2. black, tarry stools
  3. chest pain
  4. clay-colored stools
  5. constipation
  6. dark urine
  7. decrease in how much or how often you urinate
  8. diarrhea
  9. difficulty in swallowing and breathing
  10. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when suddenly getting up from a lying or sitting position
  11. drooling
  12. drowsiness
  13. dryness of the mouth
  14. fever and chills
  15. headache
  16. inability to have or keep an erection
  17. loss of appetite
  18. mask-like face
  19. nasal congestion
  20. nausea
  21. painful or difficult urination
  22. shuffling walk
  23. sore throat
  24. sores, ulcers, or white spots on lips or in the mouth
  25. stomach pain
  26. swollen glands
  27. tightness of the throat
  28. trembling and shaking of the fingers and hands
  29. uncontrolled chewing actions and movements of the arms and legs
  30. unpleasant breath odor
  31. unusual bleeding or bruising
  32. unusual tiredness or weakness
  33. vomiting of blood
  34. yellow eyes or skin

Get emergency help immediately if any of the following symptoms of overdose occur:

Symptoms of overdose

  1. Change in consciousness
  2. fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat
  3. loss of consciousness
  4. seizures
  5. severe sleepiness

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.

Incidence not known

  1. Blurred vision
  2. increased sensitivity of skin to sunlight
  3. irregular menstrual periods
  4. itching, rash, redness, or discoloration of the skin
  5. jitteriness
  6. trouble sleeping
