Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Rare

  1. Seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not there
  2. severe mental changes

Incidence not known

  1. Anxiety
  2. burning while urinating
  3. chest pain or discomfort
  4. decreased ability to exercise
  5. difficult or painful urination
  6. dizziness
  7. dry mouth
  8. fainting
  9. fast, irregular, pounding, or racing heartbeat or pulse
  10. feeling of warmth
  11. headache
  12. hyperventilation
  13. increased need to urinate
  14. irritability
  15. nausea
  16. numbness or tingling in the arms or legs
  17. pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back, or neck
  18. passing urine more often
  19. redness of the face, neck, arms, and occasionally, upper chest
  20. restlessness
  21. shakiness in the legs, arms, hands, or feet
  22. sweating
  23. swelling of the feet or lower legs
  24. trembling or shaking of the hands or feet
  25. trouble breathing
  26. trouble sleeping
  27. trouble with thinking, speaking, or walking
  28. vomiting
  29. weakness

Get emergency help immediately if any of the following symptoms of overdose occur:

Symptoms of overdose

  1. Blurred vision
  2. change in consciousness
  3. diarrhea
  4. discouragement
  5. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position
  6. fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat
  7. feeling sad or empty
  8. lack of appetite
  9. lightheadedness
  10. loss of consciousness
  11. loss of interest or pleasure
  12. overactive reflexes
  13. panic
  14. physical attempt to injure
  15. pounding in the ears
  16. rapid breathing
  17. seizures
  18. stomach cramps
  19. sweating
  20. tiredness
  21. trouble with concentrating
  22. unusual tiredness or weakness
  23. violent actions

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Incidence not known

  1. Decreased interest in sexual intercourse
  2. difficulty having a bowel movement (stool)
  3. inability to have or keep an erection
  4. increased in sexual ability, desire, drive, or performance
  5. increased interest in sexual intercourse
  6. loss in sexual ability, desire, drive, or performance
  7. sleeplessness
  8. stomach pain
  9. unable to sleep

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
