Proper Use

A nurse or other trained health professional will give you this medicine in a medical facility. It is given through an IV catheter that is placed into one of your veins.

You will receive your first dose of this medicine in 2 doses, given at least 2 weeks apart. Each infusion is given for at least 2 hours and 30 minutes. You will receive your next doses as 1 infusion every 6 months. These infusions are given for at least 2 hours or 3 hours and 30 minutes. Your doctor will decide how long you will receive the infusion.

Your doctor may give you other medicines (eg, allergy medicine, fever medicine, steroid) before each infusion of this medicine to prevent unwanted effects. Your doctor may also want you to stay for at least 1 hour after infusion to check for unwanted effects.

This medicine should come with a Medication Guide. Read and follow the instructions carefully. Ask your doctor if you have any questions.

Missed Dose

This medicine needs to be given on a fixed schedule. If you miss a dose, call your doctor, home health caregiver, or treatment clinic for instructions.
