Research

Researchers at Mayo Clinic conduct sarcoidosis clinical trials. Examples include:

  • Develop a registry of patients with cardiac sarcoidosis to learn more about the condition, determine risk factors for sarcoid involvement of the heart, evaluate outcomes and understand complications
  • Determine the clinical course of various manifestations of advanced sarcoidosis
  • Form a registry to follow patients with sarcoidosis-associated pulmonary hypertension
  • Study the use of diagnostic imaging in diagnosing cardiac sarcoidosis
  • Establish a biobank to store blood samples for future studies
