Fibrosis staging is the most important factor in determining survival rates and prognosis. These stages are:
- F0: No scarring.
- F1: Mild scarring.
- F2: Moderate scarring.
- F3: Advanced scarring.
- F4: Cirrhosis.
The higher the stage, the more serious the condition.
