Journal acknowledges that pursuant to Mayo policy Mayo does not assign the copyright to any Mayo copyrighted drawings, illustrations or questionnaires, or survey instruments contained in any manuscript submitted by Mayo authors. Mayo grants publisher a perpetual non-exclusive royalty-free license to publish such materials as part of the submitted manuscripts in all media. Other than this nonexclusive license, Mayo reserves all rights to such materials. Journals also acknowledge that Mayo Clinic and the author retain the right to provide a copy of the final manuscript to the NIH, upon acceptance for journal publication, for public archiving in PubMed Central as soon as possible but no later than 12 months after publication by journal.
