Biographical summary
Thomas Nagel, M.D. is a Head and Neck surgeon in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He specializes in the surgical management of cancers and benign tumors as well as reconstructive surgery of the head and neck.
His primary areas of focus include:
- Transoral robotic surgery and transoral laser surgery
- Treatment of HPV related tonsil and base of tongue cancer
- Microvascular reconstructive surgery of the head and neck
- Parotid and salivary gland surgery
- Oral cavity and oropharynx cancer
- Surgical management of advanced skin cancer of the head, face, and neck
- Thyroid surgery
In addition Dr. Nagel is the Division Chair of Head and Neck Surgery. He also has a strong interest in resident training and is the Residency Program Director for the Otorhinolaryngology Residency Program.
