Biographical summary
Darby D. Miller, M.D., M.P.H., is an ophthalmologist and cataract and corneal surgeon at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts, corneal conditions, Fuchs dystrophy, and keratoconus, and performs advanced procedures including complex cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and corneal crosslinking.
Dr. Miller completed fellowship training in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary after completing his ophthalmology residency and medical school at the George Washington University Medical Center. He completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) at Harvard University and is actively involved in national leadership, education, and advocacy initiatives through the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Florida Society of Ophthalmology. His contributions to patient care have been recognized with honors including the "Top Performing Provider" Patient Experience Award at Mayo Clinic Florida and the "Secretariat Award" from the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). Dr. Miller is a graduate of the AAO's Leadership Development Program and is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
