John C. Matulis, III, D.O., M.P.H.

John C. Matulis, DO, MPH is a General Internal Medicine Practitioner, with a specialty interest in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety. His clinical focus includes:

• Expertise in management of chronic diseases, such as hypertension, renal disease and diabetes mellitus
• Complex coordination of care and diagnosis of undifferentiated illness
• Preventive care and life-style counseling, empowering patients to actively manage their own health and to prioritize medical care that provides value to them
• Developing sustainable and continuously improving systems of primary care for adults with complex medical conditions and chronic medical disease

In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Matulis is active in research, administration and education, providing mentorship to residents and serves as the director of the Quality Improvement curriculum for the Internal Medicine Residency.
