Biographical summary
Michael Derr, D.O., is a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician with specialty training in Pain Medicine; he is board certified in both fields. His clinical practice focus is on the treatment of patients with spine and musculoskeletal disorders.
Dr. Derr is actively engaged in education, including teaching and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows in the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency, Pain Medicine Fellowship and Mayo Clinic Medical School.
Prior to his position at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Dr. Derr worked in an interventional spine and pain practice in Utah for eleven years and was also a General Medical Officer in the United States Air Force with the rank of Captain.
