Biographical summary
Garret W. Choby, M.D., is an otolaryngologist — head and neck surgeon who specializes in rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery. His clinical focus includes:
- Surgical treatment of sinonasal tumors, both benign and malignant
- Skull base surgery, along with his neurosurgical colleagues
- Chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyposis, including aspirin exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD)
- Revision endoscopic sinus surgery
- Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) rhinorrhea
In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Choby is active in numerous areas of research including assessing and improving quality of life following skull base surgery, understanding survival differences in sinonasal malignancies and improving patient outcomes with AERD and nasal polyposis. He is a fellow of the American Rhinologic Society and serves on several committees in the North American Skull Base Society and American Rhinologic Society.
Dr. Choby also serves as the Chair of Quality in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
