Biographical summary
Jay-Sheree Allen, M.D., is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician and the Department Diversity Lead for Family Medicine Midwest. She is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.
Dr. Allen attended medical school at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She obtained training in Family Medicine at the Mayo Clinic. She was a National Health Service Corps Scholar and practiced in a rural underserved setting for three years prior to returning to the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Allen's clinical practice focuses on the care of the whole patient, including mental health. She also provides prenatal care. Her research interests include: mental health in primary care settings and health disparities in minority populations.
