Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Bleeding gums
  2. coughing up blood
  3. difficulty with breathing or swallowing
  4. dizziness
  5. headache
  6. increased menstrual flow or vaginal bleeding
  7. nosebleeds
  8. paralysis
  9. prolonged bleeding from cuts
  10. red or black, tarry stools
  11. red or dark brown urine
  12. shortness of breath

Rare

  1. Cough
  2. fast heartbeat
  3. hives or welts
  4. itching skin
  5. noisy breathing
  6. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  7. redness of the skin
  8. skin rash
  9. tightness in the chest
  10. unusual tiredness or weakness
  11. wheezing

Incidence not known

  1. Blue lips and fingernails
  2. blurred vision
  3. chest pain or discomfort
  4. confusion
  5. convulsions
  6. coughing that sometimes produces a pink frothy sputum
  7. difficult, fast, or noisy breathing, sometimes with wheezing
  8. fainting
  9. fast, irregular, pounding, or racing heartbeat or pulse
  10. inability to speak
  11. increased sweating
  12. low blood pressure or pulse
  13. numbness or tingling in the face, arms, or legs
  14. pale skin
  15. severe or sudden headache
  16. severe or sudden weakness in the arm or leg on one side of the body
  17. slurred speech
  18. swelling in the legs and ankles
  19. trouble with walking or speaking
  20. unconsciousness

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
