Jiehao Zhou, M.B., Ph.D.

Dr. Jiehao Zhou is a hematopathologist and consultant in the Division of Hematopathology, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dr. Zhou earned his medical degree from Beijing Medical University (currently Peking University Health Science Center) in China, and his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California in the United States. He completed residency training at the University at Buffalo and a fellowship at Indiana University. He is board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Hematopathology. Dr. Zhou's clinical and research expertise centers on diagnosing hematologic malignancies, including leukemia and lymphoma. He has played a key role in expanding hematology laboratory services at Mayo Clinic Arizona. He also serves as CLIA Director for the Mayo Clinic laboratories on the Phoenix and Scottsdale campuses and as Associate Chair of Clinical Operations in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. Dr. Zhou's work is widely recognized through numerous publications, conference presentations, and service as a reviewer for multiple journals.

In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr. Zhou is actively involved in medical education, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. He has also held leadership positions in several professional organizations.
