Biographical summary
Amen Yonas, M.D., is a board-certified neurologist with
expertise in cerebrovascular disease and stroke.
Dr. Yonas attended medical school at The University of Texas,
Southwestern Medical Center. He trained in internal medicine and adult
neurology at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida and trained in
vascular neurology at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Dr. Yonas’ clinical practice includes the treatment of cerebrovascular
disease in the acute and post-hospital setting. He also regularly staffs the
inpatient general neurology and consult neurology services at the Mayo Clinic
Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. His research interests include cerebral
amyloid angiopathy, carotid artery stenosis, and small vessel ischemic disease.
