Biographical summary
Paavana Varanasi, M.D., M.P.H., is a nephrologist with clinical and academic interests in women’s kidney health and health equity. She completed her fellowship in Nephrology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona.
Dr. Varanasi earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, completed her Internal Medicine residency at Bronxcare Health System-Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and holds a Master of Public Health from University of Southern California.
Her clinical practice focuses on the care of patients with chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, stone disease, and hypertension. Her academic interests include women’s health in nephrology, stone disease, and medical education.
