Jaimin Shah, M.D., is a physician in the Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Shah treats conditions such as; amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease); inflammatory myopathy; autoimmune necrotizing myopathy; dermatomyositis; polymyositis; inclusion body myositis; muscular dystrophy, and myopathy. His clinical interests focus on ALS and inflammatory myopathy. Dr. Shah performs procedures that involve electromyography and nerve conduction studies, evoked potentials and intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring.

He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, where he earned the Dr. John R. Warmolts Award for Excellence in Neurology Research. He continued with his internal medicine internship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Shah then completed a residency in adult neurology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Ohio, where he was the Neurology Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology with emphasis in electromyography (EMG) and neuromuscular disorders at Emory University.

Dr. Shah is an award-winning teacher in the field of neurology, is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
