Biographical summary
Dr. Nina Safa is an accomplished internal medicine physician with extensive clinical, leadership, and research experience. Prior to joining Mayo, she practiced internal medicine at HVA Medical Group, Sovereign Medical Group and New Jersey Associates in Medicine, in New jersey. She also supervised primary care physicians in her team and also served on the Englewood Health ACO Governing Board, helping to develop and
implement processes that improve quality of care and patient outcomes.
She was also an assistant professor of medicine at Hackensack School of Medicine involved in teaching medical students.
Her areas of interests are women’s health, preventive medicine, and executive health programs.
She completed her residency at Temple University Hospital after earning her M.D. from Temple School of Medicine and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering graduating magna cum laude from
Villanova University. Dr. Safa has published widely on angiogenesis and tumor biology, received multiple research awards, and remains active in professional organizations such as the American College of Physicians and the AMA.
