Biographical summary
Jordan P. Reynolds, M.D., is an expert in cytopathology and genitourinary pathology. He has a broad variety of interests in cytopathology including molecular cytology, fine needle aspiration, adequacy assessments for thoracic and pancreaticobiliary cytology, and cervicovaginal pap tests. Dr. Reynolds serves as the Director of Cytology and works with an excellent team to keep the lab updated with the latest technology and innovation to advance patient care. He also has expertise in urologic pathology as he was a sub specialty pathologist at Cleveland Clinic prior to his employment at Mayo Clinic.
He serves on many national and international committees and editorial boards dedicated to the scientific advancement of pathology. He is dedicated to diversity, equity and inclusion of pathology and serves on many local and global initiatives to help underrepresented minorities gain access to clinical trials.
Dr. Reynolds is a renowned educator and has mentored many pathology residents, urologic pathology fellows, cytopathology fellows. He will continue to train future leaders in the field as the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency opens at the Florida campus in 2024.

- Cervicovaginal pap testing
- Molecular testing of solid tumors (lung, thyroid, colorectal, melanoma, sarcoma) on small samples including core biopsy and fine needle aspiration
- Exfoliative cytology including body cavity fluid cytology and urine cytology
- Rapid on-site evaluation to assess tumors of the lung, mediastinum, pancreas and other solid tumors.
- Telecytology for remote adequacy assessments
