Biographical summary
Cree Kachelski, M.D., F.A.A.P., joined the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2022 and is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and Child Abuse Pediatrics. Dr. Kachelski obtained her Bachelor of Art degree from Saint Mary's University in Winona, MN then went on to obtain her Medical Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Kachelski completed her residency in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN before heading to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO to be the first fellow to complete a combined fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Child Abuse Pediatrics. Dr. Kachelski now practices in the Pediatric Emergency Department and Mayo Clinic Center for Safe and Healthy Children and Adolescents.
Through her training Dr. Kachelski has found special interest in human trafficking and has completed research in this area and cared for many victims of human trafficking. She serves on national, regional, and local committees for human trafficking and child maltreatment. She also has strong interest in public health and child welfare and advocacy.
