Professor Prasanna Sooriakumaran (Prof PS) is a world leading prostate specialist and urologist. Triple robotic fellowship trained at Cornell (USA), Karolinska (Sweden), and Oxford (UK). Clinically led on early value assessment of robotic soft-tissue surgery for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and personally done over 2000 robotic surgeries. Clinically led Urology at Cleveland Clinic London and became its first Professor of Urology, conducted the first urology and robotic operations, and set up and chaired the Urology multi-disciplinary team meetings (MDT). Also chaired the MDT at the Princess Grace Hospital. Highest volume complex and salvage (after focal therapy or radiotherapy) robotic prostate cancer surgeon at University College London Hospitals, seeing patients from all over the world. World expert in Retzius-sparing robotic surgery and nerve-sparing techniques for reducing side-effects from prostate cancer surgery. Leader in state-of-the-art fusion biopsy for prostate cancer diagnosis and AI-enhanced Aquablation (Hydros) for benign prostate enlargement.
