Mr Karuppaiah is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and academic at King’s College Hospital, London. He began his orthopaedic career in 2004 and was appointed as a Consultant in 2014 following advanced training in shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist surgery. He specialises in the comprehensive management of upper-limb conditions, including sports injuries, arthritis, and nerve and tendon disorders. He treats both routine and complex cases and works at one of the UK’s busiest Major Trauma Centres, providing tertiary referral services for complex upper-limb injuries.
He trained at leading institutions worldwide, including King’s College Hospital, London. He holds master’s degrees in evidence-based orthopaedics, enabling him to deliver the most up-to-date, high-quality patient care. A Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, he is committed to patient-first care.
An active educator and researcher, he lectures nationally and internationally, teaches trainees and medical students, and has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles, with work widely cited in orthopaedic literature.
