Biographical summary
Christoph Wald, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A., is a board-certified radiologist with expertise in Abdominal Imaging and applied imaging informatics. He is also a Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.
Dr. Wald attended medical school at Bonn University in Germany and Aberdeen University in Scotland. He obtained training in Internal Medicine in Glasgow, Scotland, and subspecialty training in Radiology at Lahey Clinic in Boston followed by an abdominal imaging fellowship at the same institution and Massachusetts General Hospital.
His clinical practice focuses on diagnostic abdominal imaging and hospital based imaging; his scholarly work focuses on applied informatics and the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare. He holds several leadership roles with the American College of Radiology in Informatics and as Vice Chair of the Board of Chancellors of the College.
