He is actively involved in clinical and translational research and has a particular interest in mentoring residents and students and supporting their development in surgical research.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Reck dos Santos enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife, son, daughter and their two dogs. Together, they enjoy the outdoors, staying active, playing sports, cooking and listening to music as a family. Dr. Reck dos Santos particularly enjoys practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu. On a personal level, he values the opportunity to care for patients during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
