Homan Mohammadi, M.D.

Dr. Homan Mohammadi is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, specializing in precision radiation therapy for patients with head and neck cancers, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, renal cell cancer, and skin cancers of the head and neck. He combines advanced radiation techniques with multidisciplinary cancer care to deliver personalized treatment plans that maximize effectiveness while minimizing side effects.

Before joining Mayo Clinic, Dr. Mohammadi served as a faculty radiation oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center and as an Instructor at Harvard Medical School. He earned his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and completed his residency in radiation oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center.

Dr. Mohammadi has expertise in volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). He works closely with medical oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists and other specialists to develop individualized treatment plans that integrate radiation therapy into each patient's overall cancer care.

His research interests focus on advancing personalized radiation oncology through innovative radiotherapy techniques, clinical trials and particle therapy. He is dedicated to improving treatment accuracy and reducing radiation-related side effects, with the goal of improving outcomes and quality of life for patients with cancer.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Mohammadi enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, reading, and traveling.
