Christopher M. Adams, M.D., Ph.D., is a physician scientist at Mayo Clinic, where he is a Professor of Medicine and Research Chair for the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism and Nutrition. He is a board-certified endocrinologist and cares for patients in the Diabetes Clinic at Mayo Clinic. His basic science research focuses on molecular mechanisms that disrupt skeletal muscle metabolism and functional capacity during diabetes, cancer, aging, malnutrition, muscle disuse, and critical illness.
