1. A Study to Learn More About Characterization of Different Musculoskeletal Tissues

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this investigation is to characterize the genetic and epigenetic characteristics of different musculoskeletal tissues, as well as their associated disease states. Epigenetic markers represent promising therapeutic targets, as well as diagnostic biomarkers with important clinical utility.

    

2. A Study to Analyze Patients' Driving Experiences Following Total Joint Arthroplasty

   Rochester, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to determine when patients have returned to driving a car following total joint arthroplasty and whether or not they were involved in a car accident after their return to driving.

3. A Study to Develop a Biorepository of Blood Samples from Cancer Patients Participating in the Gemini (IRB 19-006717) Protocol

   Scottsdale/Phoenix, Ariz., Jacksonville, Fla.

   The purpose of this study is to develop a biorepository of blood samples  from cancer patients participating in the Gemini (IRB 19-006717) protocol. These samples will be used for future biomarker discovery and other translational studies. 

4. A Study to Assess Wrist Range of Motion via Telemedicine

   Jacksonville, Fla.

   The purpose of this study is to assess the accuracy of range of motion (ROM) measurements of the wrist and hand taken in person versus ROM taken during a telemedicine video interview.

5. A Randomized Trial of Pembrolizumab & Radiotherapy Versus Radiotherapy in High-Risk Soft Tissue Sarcoma of the Extremity

   Jacksonville, Fla.

   This is an open-label, multi-institutional phase II randomized study comparing neoadjuvant radiotherapy followed by surgical resection to neoadjuvant pembrolizumab with concurrent radiotherapy, followed by surgical resection and adjuvant pembrolizumab. The total duration of pembrolizumab will be one year in the experimental arm.

6. Investigation of Neurocognitive Measures of Sport-Related Injury

   Rochester, Minn.

   The overall objective is to provide an onsite diagnosis with subsequent return to play criteria, as well as, lower the risk of traumatic brain injury by primary prevention through cervical spine neuromuscular control and vision training. The central hypothesis is that improved understanding of neurocognitive measures and function will provide improved diagnosis of concussion and help reduce the incidence of subsequent sports-related injury.

7. A Study to Measure Functional and Clinical Outcomes of Shoulder Stabilization Surgery

   Rochester, Minn., Minneapolis, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to examine current physical therapy practice patterns regarding return to sports testing for patients who have undergone glenoid labrum surgery. Specifically, there is a need to identify what measurements and time points are standardly used to determine return to sports readiness and to examine the relationship between test results and patient self-reported function.

8. A Study to Establish a Pediatric Spine Registry

   Rochester, Minn., Minneapolis, Minn.

   The purpose of this study is to collect data about patients with chest wall and spinal deformities to develop a multicenter registry.  This will speed the pace of medical advancement and treatment recommendations for these conditions. 

9. Minnesota Spinal Cord Injury Data Network

   Rochester, Minn.

   This is a study to generate feasibilty data regarding the collection of health and psychosocial outcomes after acquired spinal cord injury (SCI)

10. Comparative Effectiveness of Pulmonary Embolism Prevention After Hip and Knee Replacement

    Rochester, Minn.

    PEPPER is a randomized study comparing the three most commonly used anticoagulants in North America in patients who have elected to undergo primary or revision hip or knee joint replacement surgery. The anticoagulants being compared are enteric coated aspirin, low intensity warfarin, and rivaroxaban.
