Biographical summary
Kristina A. Matkowskyj, M.D., Ph.D., is an anatomic pathologist with subspecialty interest in gastrointestinal and pancreaticobiliary pathology.
Dr. Matkowskyj is active in translational research, has authored research publications in scientific journals, multiple book chapters and is involved in the education of medical students and fellows.
Dr. Matkowskyj holds professional memberships with several organizations, including the United States & Canadian Academy of Pathologists (USCAP), the College of American Pathologists (CAP), and the Rodger C. Haggitt Gastrointestinal Pathology Society (GIPS). Dr. Matkowskyj currently serves as a member of the CAP Cancer Committee and the CAP HER2 Gastroesophageal Guideline Advisory Panel and was previously a member of the NCCN Esophageal and Gastric Guideline panel and MSI-H and Biomarker subcommittees. She is an editorial board member for Human Pathology and an ad hoc reviewer for several peer-reviewed scientific journals.
