Biographical summary
Barry L. Karon, M.D., is a noninvasive cardiologist with special interest in heart failure and cardiomyopathies. His clinical focus includes:
- Evaluation and management of patients with heart failure and cardiomyopathies
- Providing care in the Cardiac Amyloid Clinic
- Interpreting transthoracic and performing transesophageal echocardiograms
In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Karon is the physician director of the Mayo Medical Center Rochester Campus Echo Lab quality assurance process.
Dr. Karon is a faculty member in the Mayo Medical School and either directs or serves as faculty on many cardiac imaging and heart failure programs offered by Mayo Clinic Continuing Professional Development.
