Malcolm R. Bell, MBBS, is an interventional cardiologist with special interests in complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), transradial approach, and adjunctive antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapy. He also is an attending consultant in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Currently, he is Vice Chair of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and former Chair of the Division of Ischemic Heart Disease and Coronary Intensive Care Unit. His clinical areas of interest include:

  • Chronic coronary artery disease - evaluation, risk stratification, coronary intervention, and secondary prevention
  • Complex PCI
  • Advancing the utilization of transradial access for coronary angiography and PCI
  • Management of acute cardiac emergencies and management of patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
  • Management of cardiogenic shock
  • Focusing on patient-centric care with an emphasis of shared decision making

Dr. Bell is also highly regarded in the field of education and provides teaching and mentorship to residents and fellows. He also has a significant interest in research and has published widely.
