Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Less common

  1. Collection of blood under the skin, a deep, dark purple bruise, itching, pain, redness, swelling, or a hard lump at the injection site

Incidence not known

  1. Blurred vision
  2. change in color vision
  3. cough
  4. difficulty seeing at night
  5. difficulty swallowing
  6. dizziness
  7. eye redness
  8. fast heartbeat
  9. fever
  10. hives, itching, skin rash
  11. increased sensitivity of the eyes to sunlight
  12. pain around the eyes
  13. painful blisters on the trunk of the body
  14. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  15. temporary swollen, painful, or tender lymph glands in the neck, armpit, or groin
  16. tightness in the chest
  17. unusual tiredness or weakness
  18. vision loss

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Less common

  1. Headache

Incidence not known

  1. Difficulty in moving
  2. joint pain or swelling
  3. muscle ache, cramp, pain, or stiffness
  4. nausea

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
