Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

  1. Backache
  2. blindness
  3. blurred vision
  4. burning, dry, itching eyes
  5. change in vision
  6. darkening of the skin
  7. decreased vision
  8. diarrhea
  9. difficulty in focusing
  10. dizziness
  11. drooping of the upper eyelids
  12. eye discharge, excessive tearing
  13. facial hair growth in females
  14. fainting
  15. feeling of having something in the eye
  16. fractures
  17. full or round face, neck, or trunk
  18. increased thirst or urination
  19. irritability
  20. loss of appetite
  21. loss of sexual desire or ability
  22. menstrual irregularities
  23. mental depression
  24. muscle wasting
  25. nausea
  26. redness, irritation, pain, swelling of the eye, eyelid, or inner lining of the eyelid
  27. sensitivity of the eye to light
  28. skin rash
  29. slow wound healing
  30. unusual tiredness or weakness
  31. vomiting

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

  3. loss of taste
