Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Rare

  1. Chills
  2. cough
  3. eye pain
  4. fever
  5. general feeling of illness
  6. headache
  7. sore throat
  8. unusual tiredness

Incidence not known

  1. Back pain
  2. black, tarry stools
  3. bleeding gums
  4. bleeding, blistering, burning, coldness, discoloration of the skin, feeling of pressure, hives, infection, inflammation, itching, lumps, numbness, pain, rash, redness, scarring, soreness, stinging, swelling, tenderness, tingling, ulceration, or warmth at the injection site
  5. bloody or cloudy urine
  6. blue lips, fingernails, or skin
  7. chest pain
  8. decrease or increase in the amount of urine
  9. difficult or fast breathing
  10. dry, red, hot, or irritated skin
  11. fainting or lightheadedness
  12. fast heartbeat
  13. feeling of fullness
  14. fever sores or blisters on the skin
  15. hives, itching, skin rash
  16. hoarseness
  17. irritation
  18. joint pain, stiffness, or swelling
  19. lower back or side pain
  20. nausea
  21. painful or difficult urination
  22. pain spreading to the left shoulder
  23. pinpoint red spots on the skin
  24. redness of the skin
  25. sores, ulcers, or white spots on the lips or in the mouth
  26. stomach pain
  27. swelling of the eyelids, face, lips, hands, or feet
  28. swollen glands
  29. trouble breathing or swallowing
  30. unusual bleeding or bruising
  31. weight gain

Get emergency help immediately if any of the following symptoms of overdose occur:

  1. Bone pain
  2. chest pain or tightness
  3. difficult or labored breathing
  4. swelling

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:
