Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

1. Itching, skin rash, redness, swelling, or other signs of irritation in or around the ear not present before the use of this medicine

Rare

1. Stinging and burning feeling in the middle ear

Incidence not known

1. Blood in the urine
2. change in the frequency of urination or amount of urine
3. difficulty in breathing
4. dizziness
5. drowsiness
6. feeling of fullness in the ears
7. increased thirst
8. loss of appetite
9. loss of balance
10. loss of hearing
11. nausea
12. ringing or buzzing in the ears
13. swelling of the feet or lower legs
14. trouble in hearing
15. vomiting
16. weakness

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Less common

1. Cough
2. difficulty swallowing
3. fast heartbeat
4. hives, itching, skin rash
5. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
6. tightness in the chest
7. unusual tiredness or weakness
