Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Less common

1. Excessively heavy vaginal bleeding
2. unusual tiredness or weakness

Incidence not known

1. Chest pain or discomfort
2. confusion
3. cough or hoarseness
4. fast, weak pulse
5. fever or chills
6. lower back or side pain
7. pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back, or neck
8. painful or difficult urination
9. pale, cold, or clammy skin
10. shortness of breath
11. sudden increase in stomach or shoulder pain
12. sweating
13. unusual or large amount of vaginal bleeding

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

1. Abdominal or stomach pain or uterine cramping
2. back pain
3. diarrhea
4. dizziness
5. headache
6. nausea or vomiting

Less common

1. Acid or sour stomach
2. anxiety
3. belching
4. cough
5. fainting or lightheadedness when getting up from a lying or sitting position
6. fever
7. flu-like symptoms
8. headache
9. heartburn
10. increased clear or white vaginal discharge
11. indigestion
12. itching of the vagina or genital area
13. lack or loss of strength
14. pain during sexual intercourse
15. pain or tenderness around the eyes and cheekbones
16. pale skin
17. shaking chills
18. stomach discomfort, upset, or pain
19. stuffy or runny nose
20. tightness of the chest
21. trouble sleeping
22. troubled breathing
23. troubled breathing, exertional
24. unusual bleeding or bruising
