Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Less common

  1. Itching
  2. skin rash or redness
  3. swelling of face or skin
  4. wheezing or troubled breathing

Rare

  1. Bleeding or oozing of skin
  2. drowsiness
  3. fast, deep breathing
  4. nausea

Incidence unknown

  1. Black, tarry stools
  2. chest pain
  3. chills
  4. cough or hoarseness
  5. dark urine
  6. dizziness
  7. fever
  8. fluid-filled skin blisters
  9. light-colored stools
  10. lower back or side pain
  11. numbness to feet, hands and around mouth
  12. painful or difficult urination
  13. rapid shallow breathing
  14. sensitivity to the sun
  15. shortness of breath
  16. skin thinness
  17. sore throat
  18. sores, ulcers, or white spots on lips or in mouth
  19. swollen glands
  20. unusual bleeding or bruising
  21. unusual tiredness or weakness
  22. yellow eyes or skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Pain or burning feeling on treated area(s)

Incidence unknown

  1. Blisters
  2. flushing
  3. raised red swellings on the skin, lips, tongue, or in the throat
  4. redness of skin
  5. skin rash
  6. softening of the skin
  7. swelling
  8. unusually warm skin
